1 – Garland Police Seek Assistance in Finding Suspect Involved in Fatal Home Invasion

According to reports, the intruders exchanged gunfire with the resident of the apartment, resulting in the deaths of two of the suspects, identified as Terrail Moore and Darrian Lowery, both in their late 20s and from Dallas and Mesquite respectively. Another suspect, 26-year-old Desmond Whitaker from Dallas, was apprehended on March 29th and charged with capital murder.

The police department is now seeking the whereabouts of the remaining suspect, 22-year-old Williams Wilson, also from Dallas. Upon his arrest, Wilson is expected to be charged with capital murder, along with the other suspects, due to their attempted commission of a felony that led to the deaths of two individuals.

It should be noted that no charges have been filed against the resident who exchanged gunfire with the intruders. The investigation is ongoing, and the Garland Police Department encourages anyone with information regarding the whereabouts of Williams Wilson to come forward and contact them immediately.

2 – Summerville Police Find No Evidence of Armed Home Invasion at Bryant Apartments

3 – Mecosta County Man Charged with Home Invasion in Wexford County

John Emil Miesiaczek, a 46-year-old resident of Stanwood in Mecosta County, will be facing a charge of second-degree home invasion in Wexford County court next week. According to a news release by the Michigan State Police, Miesiaczek was arraigned in Wexford County’s 84th District Court on March 23rd. The habitual offender fourth offense notice was also added to his charge.

The case began when the Cadillac post troopers of the Michigan State Police received a report of a breaking and entering incident at a residence in Mesick on January 20th. The owner of the residence reported finding signs of forced entry upon their return. Subsequently, the owner provided troopers with images from a trail camera that captured an unknown man walking around the residence on January 5th. The police believed that the man might be a person of interest.

Home Invasion SuspectThe police shared the images, and the story was picked up by news outlets. Numerous tips from the public were received by the Cadillac post as a result of the coverage. The tips and subsequent investigation led to the arrest of Miesiaczek.

Miesiaczek’s bond has been set at $50,000, and his next court appearance is scheduled for April 11th at 2 p.m.

4 – Police Investigate Home Invasion and Shooting Incident in Urbana

The Urbana Police Department is currently investigating a home invasion and shooting incident that occurred on April 1st, 2023. According to police reports, at approximately 2:25 a.m., Urbana police officers were dispatched to the 700 block of Colorado to respond to the incident.

Upon arriving at the scene, the officers found a 27-year-old male from Urbana who had been shot four times in the leg and once in the chest. The victim was inside an apartment visiting a friend when an unknown male offender kicked down the door and entered the residence, shooting the victim.

The Urbana police officers provided immediate medical assistance to the victim before he was transported to a medical facility for additional treatment. The victim is expected to survive.

The investigation is ongoing, and the motive behind the attack remains unclear. However, the police department believes that the shooting was not a random act. The offender is believed to have fled the scene in a dark sedan.
